How does the NVIDIA stereo driver differ from the more3D software?

The more3D software supports dual VGA output and shutter glasses, NVIDIA only supports frame sequential shutter glasses. The more3D software is also more flexible, graphics vendor independent and supports optional components, such as 3D video and 3D image display. Plus there are unique features such as:

The easiest and cheapest way to create 3D stereo is to use linear polarizing filters. Contact more3D for our deluxe polarizing filters. These will only work with DLP projectors.

more3D supports the highest resolution and refresh rate that your graphics board can handle. You should have at least 128MB of available graphics memory. The common limiting factor is the resolution of the projectors or HMD’s. We have our demo setup running with 1024x768 in 32bit color and 75Hz refresh!

How much does a licence cost me? Why so much?

The more3D software is a professional software for professional use. There are private use only licenses available on request. Please inquire individually! Currently the more3D software provides the cheapest and easiest solution to create 3D stereo for passive projection or HMD use. There is reseller pricing available, please inquire with proof of dealership.

Please download the more3D Demo Request Package from our website, fax back the demo license agreement, mail in the system check results, download the software from our ftp server and wait for your personal license file to be generated and mailed to you.

more3D provides a very flexible native software that accesses the original 3D application data to generate perspectively correct and flawless 3D images. There is no quality loss due to signal conversion nor glitches or irregularities. It does not rely on 3rd party software support but runs every Direct3D and OpenGL quad buffered application. Since there is no additional hardware required (just the PC) it is also the easiest and cheapest 3D stereo solution on the market.
Of course you can also use the more3D software to generate 3D stereo and use your existing CYVIZ splitter hardware.

This enables you to run virtually any 3D application in 3D stereo and provides a platform for 3D video and stereo image playback – both with optional software from more3D. The license is unlimited!

That is the secret behind our European patents. The more3D software hooks up between your 3D application and the graphics driver. Each graphics command is hence passed through our software. This allows for fast and easy manipulation of all the graphics data. We look at the distance of any given object and shift them accordingly to the left or to the right! This way two (for stereo projection, up to 9 for autostereoscopic displays) images are created, representing the left and right eye’s perspective of the scene. These images are then output to the two VGA connectors of the graphics board or are sequentially displayed for the use of active 3D shutter glasses.
