3D
images can easily be taken with a standard digital camera
or a true stereo camera (like the image on the left).
With a digital camera and still objects simply take two
pictures and carefully move the camera horizontally by about
10cm between. Make sure there is no height offset between
the two images.
If
you point the camera at a specific target, this is, where
the virtual screen layer will be when displayed in 3D. Objects
in front of this target will appear in front of your 3D
screen.
You can also use a rendering software like 3DSMax, Lightwave
or Maya to render two camera perspectives.
