moreViz Update Guide
This quick guide explains how to update moreViz and how to perform a clean re-installation of moreViz.
The article covers three topics:
1. Updating moreViz installations newer than 06/2024
2. Updating moreViz installations older than 06/2024
3. Clean the system from all moreViz data for a clean re-installation
1. Updating moreViz installations newer than 06/2024
- Download the latest version of moreViz:
https://www.more3d.com/more3d-software-downloads
- Run the installer
- No need to install the redist runtimes
- Let the installer close any running software components automatically
- Wait for the installer to finish copying and exit the installer
- Start the moreViz Launcher
- Expand the Launcher‘s GUI with the triangle symbol
- Start the moreViz Application Enabler
This auto- updates the function files all enabled host-applications - Exit the Application Enabler
- Continue using moreViz
2. Updating moreViz installations older than 06/2024
• Uninstall any previous installation of moreViz
• Download the latest version of moreViz: https://www.more3d.com/more3d-software-downloads
• Run the installer
• Install the redist runtimes
• Wait for the installer to finish copying and exit the installer
• Start the moreViz Launcher
• Expand the Launcher‘s GUI with the triangle symbol
• Start the moreViz Application Enabler
This auto-updates the function files all enabled host-applications
• Exit the Application Enabler
• Continue using moreViz
3. Clean the system from all moreViz data for a clean re-installation
• Use the application enabler to disable all functions of moreViz for Host Apps.
• Use the more3D Activation Tool do deactivate the moreViz License
Only required if you dont plan on re-installing
• Uninstall any previous installation of moreViz
• Delete all files and folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\more3D
• Delete C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\moreViz;
%localappdata%\moreViz
• Delete C:\ProgramData\more3d
• Use regedit to delete
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\more3D\moreViz
• All moreViz components are now removed from the system.
